I find as I travel around this world and especially in the United States that there is a general lack of customer satisfaction by service providers. In addition, I believe that many service oriented or service-providing companies do not even know how to understand or find out truly what the customers wants are, let alone follow through with those desires as time goes on.

Because of this and because people are normally not bashful when it comes to expressing there thoughts to service providers (again especially in the US), mangers and owners bear the brunt of criticism for the lack of service their companies provide. I too have on occasion expressed my dissatisfaction to management for poor or lacking service.

What we (people in general) do not do enough of in my mind is compliment those providers that do provide good service. I try to compliment those who provide service to me that is ABOVE my expectation as I expect good service from someone I am paying a fee to for service.

I would like you know that Carol Lavigne is the best realtor I have ever worked with. The home Carol is assisting my wife (Pam) and I in finding will be my 8th home purchase. I have listed below some of the behaviors that Carol has and is continuing to provide us with in our search.

-Asking many questions and making many observations to understand what Pam and I want in a property (to this end we are comfortable making decisions to look at property based on Carol’s recommendations because we believe she truly understands what we are looking for)
-Carol has never questioned our desires whether they seem unreasonable or not (e.g., restoring a circa 1800 home that is in bad shape)
-She has supported every offer that we have talked about making (we have not made an offer yet but we have discussed a few pricing offers that we could make) and has assured us that she will present any offer WE feel is reasonable.
-She cares if she is on time and available to us and apologizes sometimes when we do not feel she needs to (without being patronizing)
-She has refrained from showing us some properties she has listed because she does not feel they would suit us. (one of which she waited to tell us about until she knew us better and understood we might like to see it)
-She is very prepared and knowledgeable about the properties and the areas she shows us homes in
-She is a very good planner and scheduler showing us 8 properties in one day between 9:45 and 5:00 without making us feel exhausted at the end of the day

Because of these things and more, we look forward to purchasing a home soon with Carol’s help. Pam and I feel we will have a lasting relationship with Carol and therefore Re/Max Executives Barrington.
